Since 1992, Youth Central (formerly Child and Youth Friendly Calgary) has been delivering programs to the young people of Calgary that provide opportunities for community engagement. Through the programs, youth can volunteer with various community agencies, serve on leadership committees, plan events, and voice their opinions to community leaders. The programs offer youth the opportunity to learn about the value of giving back to the community, gain important life skills, increase self-esteem, make community connections, and become active citizens.
