Sponsor Energy is an incredible utility company! I often compare rates on the Alberta Consumer Advocate site, and Sponsor is always among the lowest. They have no cancellation fees and they only require 10 days notice to cancel your fixed term plan, which is an awesome perk to take advantage of a lower rate should it come up. The best part though - they support 100+ Alberta charities - like animal shelters! Sponsor makes a $50 donation to a charity of your choice upon signing up. I love knowing they are Alberta based and give back to their region! Sponsor also has amazing customer service! They always promptly respond to my inquiries and their live agent chat is so convenient. If you have solar panels - their solar club plan is so convenient, as it automatically switches rates based on your use, so you don't need to worry about switching seasonally. I lucked into finding this energy company a little over a year ago, and have been extremely pleased ever since! Not only were they very accommodating during sign up, and were helpful during the sign up process, but they continued to provide excellent & timely customer service throughout! They worked with me to find the best plans for our family, & ( not at all like the other big companies) is willing to offer us a plan with a lower rate when they're available! One more thing....Sponsor Energy has the lowest priced plans, especially if you consider the administration and other charges the big companies tack on!
